Marlene Berni McNally

An organizational and cultural consultant with over 20 years of experience working in civil and human rights, Marlene Berni McNally has driven the expansion of democracy globally in collaboration with government agencies, rights-based NGOs, and multinational organizations, enabling them to positively impact the lives of those who are invisible, under-represented, persecuted, or more vulnerable in society.

As a leadership trainer for The Forum of Migrant’s Organization, Marlene designed and delivered modular training to develop the consulting skills of leaders whose mission was to improve sustainability and be more effective defenders of the rights of migrants. In collaboration with the National Training Foundation and The World Bank, she delivered of leadership and communication training courses to regional staff and managed the training of over 5000 Russian managers. For the British Council, she consulted, designed, and delivered train the trainer programs in Business Administration across several Russian regions. In addition, Marlene has trained a number of multinational organizations and financial institutions in team building and collaboration.

Throughout her consulting career, Marlene has spoken as a representative of the EU on topics related to civil society at numerous conferences and media events, and has doubled and tripled donor revenues for several international NGOs, while creating more effective and sustainable outcomes for their clients.

Fluent in English, Russian, and Spanish, her humanitarian work has spanned some of the globes most influential organizations including the International Federation of the Red Cross, The World Bank, The European Union, The British Council, European Endowment for Democracy, the Russian Federation, European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights, the Forum of Migrants Association, and the National Training Foundation.

Marlene is a Certified Life Coach from The Life Coach School. She holds a BSc (Hons) in Economics and Politics from the University of Salford and an MSc in Organizational Development from Sheffield Hallam University.
